Directions

Diana’s Pool is 70km south-east of Bulawayo, and 20km west off the main Bulawayo - Beitbridge road. Turn West at Mawabeni (57.5km peg), drive to Esibomvu, turn left and drive another 10km to Diana’s Pool. The dirt road is suitable for ordinary vehicles, as long as they have good ground clearance. Guests are required to report to the caretaker at the homestead closest to the entrance of Diana’s Pool protected area, or at the Happy Thaba Store near the entrance.

Let me start by saying thank you for the amazing stay. The place was clean, comfortable and very relaxing, not to mention the friendliness of the locals and the attentiveness of the staff. The place was truly wonderful and we caught it at just the right time. It had just rained overnight so the pools were pouring heavily and everything was absolutely green. There was even a swarm of fireflies that came to join us in the evenings (a sight I haven't seen in decades). Another focal point for me was because the nights were so dark the stars were unbelievably bright. Lack of cellphone signal was initially an inconvenience but soon as our phones all died, which was a blessing in disguise, everything fell into place. We took in mother nature in all her glory and enjoyed the absolute peace with zero distractions. This world heritage site, is outstandingly beautiful and deserved of the title. My family and I will certainly be back for more and I will definitely be telling people about this place.
